Well, Fall has fallen and we're getting a taste of what Central Oregon weather has to offer. It's time to wrap up your outdoor projects before the snow flies. But perhaps you need a push to get out there and enjoy the weather. How about being able to listen to your iPod on a quality wireless outdoor speaker you can carry around the yard with you? The SoundCast "Outcast" wireless outdoor speaker is here, and we are impressed. With a NiMh rechargeable battery providing up to 10 hours of life, this speaker has a down-firing 8" SUBWOOFER and midrange speakers that circle around the unit providing a omni-directional soundfield. It has a wireless iPod transmitter that can send music from your iPod or other music source inside the house and feed it anywhere within the unit's 75ft of REAL-WORLD transmission range. There is much more to this speaker. Come walk by our store front, we usually have it on display and putting out the tunes during business hours. Then, come inside and find out why this unit may be a better solution than retro-fitting wires to your existing outdoor space.

It's not often that a revision comes to B&W's Nautilus 800 line of speakers. So when we heard that they had a brand new Diamond Series coming out, we were excited, to say the least. It may have took longer than we would have wanted to get our hands on a new set of 802d's, but let's just say the wait was worth it! Improved in nearly every way imaginable, these are truly a remarkable feat of engineering in every sense of the term. They even made some subtle aesthetic changes to the face of the speaker to give it a sleeker, more refined look.
Also, we have the much-hyped (for good reason), Audio Research VSi60 Integrated Amplifier on display. While the 802d's would no-doubt benefit from more amplification, it's remarkable just how well this integrated runs them. Come by and we'll hook it up to any pair of speakers in the showroom and let you find out for yourself what all the fuss is about!
We could go on for days and days about what Sonos is, what it does, and how it can drastically change the way you listen to music. However, it is truly something you have to experience for yourself. Imagine having the entire world's music collection at your fingertips. Pandora, Rhapsody, Sirius, and so much more can be explored and played in any room of the house. All wirelessly, and with an interface that even the biggest technophobe can understand and operate. Sonos: Spread the Music (indeed!)
We are very pleased to announce some new product lines here at the Planet. First up, in the analog realm, we are now Pro-Ject/Sumiko dealers, which gains us access to an excellent selection of turntables, cartridges, and accessories. Vinyl's not back, people...it never went anywhere in the first place! It's time to dust off those old records in the garage and remember why you fell in love with music in the first place.
